How long have you been on DeviantArt? Nearly 4 years! That's flown by!
What does your username mean? Hama refers to the beads (you may know them as perler or nabbi, hama is the one available in the UK), and girl refers to my 2 X chromosomes.

Are you left or right handed? Right handed!
What was your first deviation? Think it was this one!
What is your favourite type of art to create? This is really a tough question for me because I feel like I'm a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, master of none style artist. My favourites are artisan crafts, pixel art, digital and traditional drawing.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? Polymer clay. I find miniature food made from polymer clay absolutely fascinating, not to mention all the other stuff you can make from it!!

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? Honestly.....no-one! I've never really connected with many people on here to that level.
What are your preferred tools to create art? My hands! And more recently sandpaper and a toothbrush for my polymer clay.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? I love being by the seaside, or with nature!
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? Achieving 1 million deviantart views

But I really want to start being more active on deviantart again. I'm going through a big shakeup with my etsy right now because I'm not happy with it, so I'm rebranding to make myself stand out more, and I'd like to share all my creations with you guys on here too. I'm going to be designing cards and new lines of crafts to sell which will hopefully be a little more popular- and I'd also like to continue with pixel art on here very soon

My Gallery | Watch me | Note me So it's been a really, really long time. 8 months since I last posted a journal which is pretty ridiculous, but I'm back again now.
I will endeavour to post more pixel art, but that's actually not what I'm here to write to you guys about.
I've just started my own business (literally 2 days ago) making geeky (and also non-geeky) baby clothing and accessories (but mainly accessories) and, though I appreciate you're probably the wrong audience to show it to, I wanted to put this out there anyway. My Gallery | Watch me | Note me So, I'm not sure how to start this really. I've been totally inactive for ages, but my watch list and my view count has gone up and up- thank you, all of you that have watched me and looked at my artwork. Hitting 50k views and getting nearly 500 watchers is definitely something for me to be proud of, especially since I seem to have gained so many views and still my page is almost silent- nearly no messages, no comments..not sure what I'm doing wrong.
My life has hit something of a dead end. I'm dying to be able to do some form of creativity for a job, ideally working as an artist for a games company/indie gamer, but I'm not good enough for that- I can't even get people to pay me the equivalent of 5 cents to do artwork for them, so clearly no-one will ever pay me enough to put food on the table for anything that I create.
So, I'm not sure what direction the page is going to take from here. I'm in the process of restructuring it to make it look more professional, so I can use it as a kind of online portfolio (for what it's worth..), but I just wanted to let you guys know there probably won't be much in the way of templates being put up here any more. I want to make stuff of substance, not be some super-friendly-have-everything-for-free page, because I can't live off air alone.
Painful reality of it is I can't afford to give my time away for free, I just don't have the time to spare. I will do commissions, if anyone is mad enough to commission me to do anything, but not for the pathetic amount of points I'd been offering them for before. I know I couldn't even get commissioned for basically nothing, but I figured if anyone will, I should at least get paid for the time that I'm spending on it.
I guess that's all I have to say. Sorry, for those of you that have followed me for templates. Feels like the only way to get noticed is to give stuff away for nothing.
